A national natural landmark, the Arboretum spreads over the south-facing slope, covering nearly three hectares. There are about 300 different species and cultivars of trees, such as shrubby yew of various colours and shapes, thuja, spruce, oak, multicoloured beech, cypress, maple, pine, birch, Douglas fir, and linden. The Arboretum likewise contains many rare and collection trees such as Japanese maple, witch hazel, and magnolia, as well as species from southern Europe, Asia, North America and Mexico.
