CHATEAU ČECHY POD KOSÍŘEM

The Classicist chateau, which is surrounded by a 21.5 hectare--landscaped park, itself one of the most valuable historical green areas of Moravia, is connected with the noble family of Silva-Tarouca. This art-loving count's family were friends with the renowned Czech painter Josef Mánes, who would come to visit and paint at the local chateau between the years 1849 and 1870. Since 2016, the chateau has been open to the public. The chateau park with a pseudo-gothic Orangery, the Mánes Pavilion, and the romantic Red Tower is ideal for family outings.
